Build a practical EQ action plan
Build a practical EQ action plan

Choose one workplace situation you want to handle differently. Describe your current response and the behaviour you want to practise instead. Make the goal small enough to test in the coming week.
An action plan could be: โIn planning meetings, I will ask one clarifying question before challenging a proposal.โ Identify a reminder, such as a note in your agenda, and a way to reflect afterwards. Review what happened, adjust the behaviour and practise again. Focus on consistent actions rather than a broad promise to become more emotionally intelligent.
A workplace example
You want to interrupt less in meetings. Rather than setting a broad goal to improve communication, choose one visible habit: write down your thought and wait until the speaker finishes.
Try this in practice
- Choose one situation and one behaviour.
- Set a reminder before the next opportunity.
- Review what happened and adjust.
What is the smallest change you can practise this week?
